VIII. Grammar rules

1. Using "It is" for Weather Descriptions
Use "It is" or "It's" to describe weather conditions.

Examples:
It is sunny today.
It’s cold outside.
It is windy and cloudy.

Tip: The contraction "It’s" is more common in spoken English. "It" refers to the general weather, not a specific object.

2. Present Continuous for Ongoing Weather
Present continuous tense ("is/are + verb-ing") describes actions happening right now, including ongoing weather conditions. It is useful for talking about weather that is currently occurring.

Examples:
It is raining now.
It’s snowing outside.
The wind is blowing hard.

Structure:
Subject ("It") + is + verb (ending in -ing).

3. Talking About Future Weather with "Will" and "Going to"
"Will" and "going to" are used for making predictions about future weather conditions.

Examples:
It will be sunny tomorrow.
It’s going to be cold next week.

Structure:
For "Will": Subject + will + base verb.
For "Going to": Subject + is/are + going to + base verb.

Tip: We use "will" for predictions without evidence and "going to" for predictions based on evidence, like dark clouds for rain.

4. Comparatives and Superlatives
Comparatives and superlatives are used to compare weather conditions. Comparatives (e.g., colder, hotter) are for comparing two things, while superlatives (e.g., coldest, hottest) are for comparing three or more things.

Examples:
Today is hotter than yesterday. (comparative)
That was the coldest day of the year. (superlative)

For short adjectives:
Add "-er" for comparatives and "-est" for superlatives (cold -> colder -> coldest).
For longer adjectives:
Use "more" for comparatives and "most" for superlatives (more humid -> most humid).
